What my friends at OHS say about me:

  • I've been living it up in a foster home and my foster parents say I'm the perfect house guest. I have a whole room to myself and haven't displayed any destructive behaviors (like chewing on base boards and wires) or escape artist tendencies (like jumping over my x-pen). An appropriately bunny-proofed space is still advised in my forever home though just to be safe.
  • I have an underbite which is very cute but does present some medical challenges. Rabbit teeth grow indefinitely and, since my jaw doesn't align properly, I wasn't able to keep my teeth at a comfortable length. Because of this, the Med Team elected to remove my front teeth so I don't have to worry about them growing too long in the future.
  • My lack of incisors doesn't stop me from being an amazing eater! I absolutely LOVE pellets and will jump into my foster parent's lap when she pulls out the bag. I love puzzle toys like kibble balls and snuffle mats and haven't found one yet that I can't outsmart.
  • My foster mom says I am the friendliest rabbit she's ever fostered! I am happy to hop right up to any visitors in my space and haven't even shied away from electricians entering with a big noisy ladder.
  • Like all rabbits, I will need unlimited access to clean, age-appropriate hay like Timothy hay. I have also been eating pelleted hay which is much easier for me to eat after my tooth extraction. Pelleted hay is different than pelleted food that includes hay; the pelleted hay I've been eating is just 100% Timothy hay that has been shaped into small pellets for special needs buns like me.
  • Along with routine vet checks, I will also need regular grooming and nail trims. My friends at OHS have said I am very good for my nail trims and grooming sessions and will tolerate them for 15-30 minutes before I get annoyed and hop away.
  • In my foster home, I have met the resident rabbit and cats and have done well with all of them! With appropriate introductions, my foster mom thinks I could make a good friend for another bun.
