Sponsor a Pet

Sponsorships help all pets at OHS’ Portland and Salem shelters find healing and love.

Why Sponsor a Pet

For shelter pets, the most basic things can provide immense comfort – from a comfy bed to a belly full of food. When you sponsor a pet at OHS’ shelters, you directly help your sponsored animal and all shelter pets by providing them with food, shelter, and veterinary care and offsetting the costs of these resources. The journey with your sponsored pet doesn’t stop there. Once they’ve found their new home, we’ll send you an adoption update!

How to Sponsor

It’s easy to sponsor an animal! You can sponsor any adoptable dog, cat, rabbit, guinea pig, mouse, rat, or bird at our Salem and Portland shelters. To sponsor, simply follow these steps:

1)      Visit our Adopt a Pet page.

2)      Click on the photo of the animal you’d like to sponsor.

3)      Once on the animal’s profile, click the “Click here to sponsor me” link below the pet’s name.

4)      Fill out the online donation form to complete your gift.

Help Your Sponsored Pet Find a Loving Home

Sharing your sponsored pet’s story, whether by word of mouth or on social media, is a wonderful way to help them find their new family. When sharing their profile on social media, don’t forget to use #OHSpets!
