What my friends at OHS say about us:

    • Hello! We are a bonded pair. I’m bonded with Mimi. We must go home together and our adoption fee includes both of us.
    • Budgies, commonly though erroneously known as parakeets, are the most popular avian species kept as pets-and with good reason. This gentle friend will enjoy perching on your shoulder, and can be taught to mimic words and household noises. Great first birds for children!
    • Parakeet diet should be varied and including a healthy mixture of seeds, pellets, fruits and veggies. Sprouts are also an excellent source of nutrition for parakeets and should be added to their daily diet. Dark leafy greens, bell peppers, zucchinis and fresh fruit ought to be offered daily as well.
    • There are plenty of sources of enrichment for you to provide your parakeet friends. Ladders, swings, rope toys, bells, wooden chew toys and mirrors are all excellent ways to make a parakeet’s home more mentally and physically stimulating.
