Fall 2024 After School Club

Animal Artisans Club – October, 2, 9, 16, 23 (Grades 4-5)

Welcome to the Animal Artisans Club, where compassion meets creativity! Under guided instruction, Club Members will spend 4 weeks planning, constructing, and marketing a craft of their choice to sell in our very own Best Friends Corner (Our lobby pet-supply store). Every Club night will also feature pet socialization.

Join us as we learn about animals, advocacy, and how to use our skills to help pets in need! All skills levels are welcome, and 100% of the proceeds go directly to supporting pets at the Oregon Humane Society.

Intro to Pet Training and Behavior – October 30, Nov 6, 13, 20 (Grades 6-8)

Designed for young animal enthusiasts, this club introduces its members to the fundamentals of training pets, using Positive Reinforcement. We will take an insider look at training methods that value empathy, communication, and a science-based approach. All sessions are under the supervision and support of trained individuals and we will work with safe shelter pets.

Come see how the Oregon Humane Society helps our community keep pets in their forever homes and have fun in the process!
