OHS Holds Spay & Neuter Clinic

Community Demand is High for Affordable Veterinary Services

Spay and neuter is key to protecting the health of your pet and preventing unwanted litters. These highly demanded procedures are the most requested services that Oregon Humane Society provides at our Community Veterinary Hospital and Salem Veterinary Clinic.

Thanks to donor support, OHS was able to conduct thousands of high-quality, low-cost spay and neuter surgeries in 2024, giving out $792,730 in subsidized care through our Spay & Save program

Although thousands of spay and neuter surgeries are performed within our community annually, the demand for this procedure shows no sign of slowing down.

To help address the overwhelming need for spay and neuter, OHS conducted a dedicated Spay & Neuter Clinic on Wednesday, April 16. Our goal was to perform more than 300 surgeries during the clinic, which took place at both Portland and Salem campuses.
