After School Clubs

Registration is Now Open!  

Oregon Humane Society’s After School Clubs aim to inspire, educate, and empower today’s youth to create a more humane future for animals. Sessions will feature socialization with shelter pets, animal enrichment crafts, and presentations from professionals of the industry. These clubs are not only FUN but they teach real-world skills that are foundational for future careers in the field of animal welfare! 

October 4-25, Wednesdays, 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Embark on a global journey with us in our new course: Animals Around the World! We will be travelling the globe through presentations ranging from the snowy forests of Finland to the dessert plains of Kenya. Join us as we learn how humans are helping animals internationally, and get excited about how YOU can make a difference!

This Club takes place at the Portland Campus.

November 8, 15, 29 December 6, Wednesdays, 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Calling all future Journalists and Social-Media enthusiasts! In this 4-week course, we’re sharing how Oregon Humane Society tells the stories of pets in need. Club participants will get hands-on experience working with experts in the field of journalism, graphic design, marketing, and social media. We’ll teach you how speak on television, film the next viral video, and so much more!

This Club takes place at the Portland Campus.

Oregon Humane Society believes in providing opportunities for all children to be able to attend our programs.  We are committed to serving as many families as possible; however, scholarship funds are limited. Awards will be for 50-100% of camp tuition.
