Skills in Action
Continue learning everyday skills as we apply real life situations and distractions.
Skills in Action – Portland
In this 5-week course, we will introduce real life situations into our training, so you can practice everything you learned in the Building Skills class in more practical settings.
We will continue working on walking on a loose leash but add distractions you are likely to encounter on your walk. We will continue reinforcing strategies to greet guests without jumping and practicing skills like “leave it,” “stay” or “settle” around distractions such as skateboards, squeaky toys and other dogs. We will practice working with our dogs on coming to us around distractions they may see at a park or on a trail, etc.
We will aim to make the exercises in this class fun and practical for both you and your dog – and add just enough challenge to help you and your dog be successful in your everyday life.
If you have a Levels package, we will have Levels classes till January 31st.
Price is per dog.
Your dog will attend class with you.
Please limit attendance to 2 people.
