Community Veterinary Hospital Expands Availability

Starting March 30, 2025, hours at Oregon Humane Society’s Community Veterinary Hospital will expand, offering veterinary care appointments seven days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Currently, the CVH is open Sunday–Thursday. This expansion to daily operating hours will enable us to serve more new clients in the community and provide more options for existing clients to schedule appointments.

The hospital opened in October 2022 as part of our New Road Ahead expansion, with a goal of keeping more pets and their people together. By offering high-quality veterinary care to our community—including preventative care, surgery, dentistry, urgent care—and providing families who qualify with subsidized care options, OHS has been able to reduce the need for beloved pets to be surrendered to the shelter due to a lack of affordability.

After just two short years, the CVH has provided more than $2 million in subsidized care to families who qualify—thanks in large part to full-paying clients and donor support. With the ever-growing demand for affordable medical care, it was clear additional appointment availability was needed.

The schedule expansion coincides with another exciting development as the CVH welcomed new Medical Director Dr. Franci Forman in December.

The new schedule will officially go into effect on Sunday, March 30. To learn more about our services or book an appointment at the Community Veterinary Hospital, visit oregonhumane.org/care.
