• Do you enjoy games? Me too! Games with balls, squeaky toys, toys that hide food, you name it, I'm up for it! Exercise and games will be what help keep me (and you!) happiest.
• I'm a lively and intelligent dog who will need to be provided with daily mental and physical stimulation.
• I will follow you around for attention - spending time with my people is the best part of the day!
• I would love to get up and go adventure with you.
• My last foster parent gave me a glowing review: she said I'm a great sleeper, am well housetrained and do well in the kennel!
• I sometimes think humans are toys - chasing, pouncing, and grabbing onto arms and legs. I'll need help with re-directing my energy onto appropriate toys as well as being rewarded when I'm in a calm and relaxed state.
• Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.
• High Energy: I can become easily frustrated if my energy and exercise needs are not met. I will need positive outlets and a calm environment to help me flourish.
• Resource Guarding: I have a history of guarding my people, food, toys and/or bedding from other animals or people.

The type of home I'm looking for:

• I am not for the first time dog owner. Someone very familiar with canine body language is a must for me.
• I need to be the only dog in the home.
• I need a home without cats or other small animals.
• I need to go to a home without small children.

When you come to the shelter and see a pet you are interested in meeting, take note of the pet’s name and visit the front desk in the lobby.
