Goldie, an OHS birds
Goldie, an OHS bird, is looking for a home.

Join OHS for  “A Day for the Birds” on Feb. 21. The event will showcase more than 30 birds available for adoption—ranging from songbirds to exotics. Bird lovers will have the opportunity to learn about bird health, breeds, diet, socialization tips, and how to add a feathered friend to the family. Avian experts from Exotic Bird Rescue of Oregon and Ballance Behavior & Training will be on hand to answer questions and share their bird know-how.

When: Saturday, February 21 from 11 am-4 pm

Where: OHS Education Hall (Side A)  1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland, OR 97211

Happenings:

  • Ask the avian expert about your bird health and diet concerns
  • Experts on site to help you find the right bird for your family
  • Bird rescue groups and OHS with a selection of birds looking for homes
  • Learn about bird breeds (what really is a cockatiel?)
  • Test your avian vocabulary
  • Kid’s Korner with fun (yet educational) activities for young bird lovers
