Hope for Eager Edgar
Edgar, an exuberant Lab, was hit by a car at an adolescent age and left with a charmingly tilted snoot, blindness in his left eye, and complex behavior issues that made him difficult to manage. While in our care, staff could tell Edgar had an adventurous, curious spirit for exploring the world and the people around him. But his rambunctious behaviors made finding his new family a challenge.
Luckily, because of the support of animal lovers like you, OHS has a purpose-built space for dogs (and cats) like Edgar. Our Behavior & Rescue Center is a non-public space where animals receive one-on-one training and attention from Certified Behavior Modification Trainers and volunteers. These teams work diligently with animals who have no other options to overcome the tricky behaviors that are keeping them from being adopted—since its inception in 2022, the BRC has helped over 450 shy, fearful, and exuberant animals find homes!
Today, Edgar has found new skills and a new home that has embraced all his quirks and his training.
