Black Friday Adoption Special at OHS
Who wants to go to the mall during the busiest shopping day of the year? Instead, come to OHS and get 50% off the adoption fee of any pet six years or older on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving. (Nov. 25-27, 2016)
Together with the reduced adoption fees, OHS is also offering 25% off all purchases at their in-shelter pet supply store to help ensure everyone gets off to a great start.
November: Adopt a Senior Pet Month
OHS is offering this particular special to honor Adopt a Senior Pet month. If you’ve been thinking about adding a new animal friend to your family, consider opening your home and heart to an older shelter pet in need.
While young kittens and puppies are of course adorable, older pets are just as loving and loyal—and usually a bit calmer! Adopting a full-grown animal companion comes with some great advantages: Grown-up pets don’t require constant monitoring and training that puppies and kittens often do, and many are already housetrained. Also, since adult pets are fully grown, you’ll be more aware of their personality type and ongoing grooming or training requirements, making it easier to choose the perfect pet for your family.

The 2016 OHS Black Friday special begins at 10 am on Friday, Nov. 25 and runs through Sunday, Nov. 27. Visitors will find a selection of more than 40 pets over six years old who are waiting to go home.
But wait, there’s more! Every OHS adoption comes with a great list of “extras.” Every cat, dog and rabbit is spayed or neutered. Dogs and cats adopted through OHS come with an identification microchip, collar and tag; have received an initial round of vaccinations; and adoptions include a free month of pet health insurance and a free first visit to a veterinarian. And did we mention that the staff of OHS is always available to answer your pet-related questions and help you find the perfect match?
