As our state and nation pause this day to honor the birth in 1929 of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we at the Oregon Humane Society would like to pay tribute to Dr. King—not only for the tireless quest for racial equality that cost him his life, but for his unwavering advocacy of nonviolence and unconditional love. By embracing this message, OHS will move forward on our mission to create a more humane society.
