Gratitude for a Day of Giving

OHS Day of Giving part of global #GivingTuesdayNow effort.

Even standing 6 feet apart, the community still came together for the animals during the Day of Giving on Tuesday, May 5. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed almost every aspect of our work at the Oregon Humane Society — but it hasn’t changed our commitment to the animals and communities we serve.

OHS partnered with KOIN 6 on this effort — sharing stories and inviting viewers to donate all day. The compassion and generosity of this community filled our hearts. Thank you!

While many of us are at home, our pets have taken on a bigger role in our lives. They are providing comfort, stress relief and a sense of joy while we face the unknowns of the future.

The support and generosity of our community will allow OHS to continue to care for animals, find them loving homes, provide veterinary care, keep pets and people together, and rescue animals from abuse and neglect.

Didn’t get a chance to donate yesterday? Inspired by this community’s compassion, an anonymous donor has generously offered to match all gifts up to $2,500 until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2020.
