2025 Diamond Collar Awards Heroes

FIDO Pet Food Bank

FIDO Pet Food Bank distributes close to 20,000 pounds of pet food a month to those in need in Clackamas County. Their work includes delivering meals, supporting military veterans, providing pet supplies, and responding to emergencies.  Watch FIDO Pet Food Bank’s story here.

Petco Love 

Petco Love is a national nonprofit dedicated to saving pet lives. Their decades of support and generous contributions to OHS make a lifesaving difference for pets in need. Today, OHS is proud to use and recommend Petco Love Lost, their free photo-matching reunification tool that helps lost pets return home. Watch Petco Love’s full story here

Moda Health  

Moda Health is helping shelter pets find homes by encouraging their employees to adopt – including providing $100 to use toward an adoption fee. They are creating a happier workplace by promoting a pet-friendly work environment. As a longtime sponsor of Doggie Dash, Moda Health  has raised close to $200,000 in support of OHS’ lifesaving work.  Watch Moda Health’s story here

Muffin   

During her time as a Humane Education Dog, Muffin visited more than 500 classrooms and touched the lives of thousands of young people. She even visited her beloved students just six days before she passed away. Today, Muffin’s legacy lives on in the work of OHS’ Humane Education team and the dogs who visit classrooms.  Watch Muffin’s story here

Roger Kadell  

Roger Kadel, Columbia County Animal Control Deputy, has dedicated more than 20 years of his career to the tireless pursuit of justice for those who cannot speak for themselves. His commitment led him to partner with Oregon Humane Society–utilizing Humane Law Enforcement resources and the Animal Crimes Forensic Center to ensure the evidence in his cases is irrefutable.   Watch Roger’s story here
