OHS event volunteers play an integral role in ensuring the success of our fundraising efforts.

Assisting with special events is a perfect way to get involved and give back without any prior training or experience with animals.

OHS hosts six signature fundraising events throughout the year, and we need volunteers to make these events happen! From costume parties to large community run/walks and festivals, our events are as unique and special as the animals they enable us to help.

What to Expect

Volunteer roles at OHS events come in all shapes and sizes and are appropriate for all levels of experience and ability.

Some examples of volunteer roles include:

  • helping with administrative tasks
  • assisting with décor or other event set-up projects
  • greeting/ushering guests
  • running various event games or activities
  • checking guests in
  • breaking down/cleaning up event venues

Event volunteers should expect to work a multi-hour shift. Every event volunteer role will have specific instructions and information to help you decide which role to sign up for. Once you’ve signed up, an OHS staff member will coordinate with you to ensure that you have everything you need to be successful.

We’re excited to work with you!
