Why Foundation Support Matters
Oregon Humane Society is an independent organization with no affiliation with other nonprofits. We do not receive government funding and rely solely on support from our community to sustain our work.
Our foundation partners make our day-to-day operations possible, including caring for and finding homes for more than 11,500 animals, spaying and neutering more than 13,000 animals, and investigating thousands of reports of suspected cruelty and neglect annually. Grants from foundations also support specific initiatives, such as our Humane Education program’s work in Title 1 schools and our Financial Assistance Fund, which provides access to care for pet owners in need.

Enabling all animals to lead safe and healthy lives.

Strengthening bonds between animals, people, and communities.

Fostering skills and understanding that enhance connections between animals and people.

Reinforcing accountability and safeguarding relationships between animals and people.
