Join and attend at least one of the following monthly subcommittee meetings: Executive, Finance, DEIB, Nominating, or Advancement. Committee assignments will be at the discretion of the Chair of the Board of Directors. Become a certified volunteer Board Member by attending the Oregon Humane Society’s Volunteer Orientation, which is approximately four hours on a Sunday. Support and attend our signature fundraising events: Tail Wag, Doggie Dash, Boo Bash and Diamond Collar Awards. Assist in guest development, identifying corporate sponsors and peer to peer fundraising. Become a donor to the Oregon Humane Society (or sustain your existing giving history) at a level that is meaningful to you. The Board Advancement committee will work with you on an individual giving plan. Board members are requested to become members of the President’s Circle (donors who give $1,000 or more annually). Support and attend the Oregon Humane Society’s annual staff & volunteer recognition event as a board member.
