Cheers to Helping Animals in Need
Oregon Humane Society’s Beer Label Photo Contest provides an opportunity for pet parents to show off their photography skills and—most importantly—their beloved pets, all in support of OHS’ life-saving programs and services.
In the inaugural year of the contest, 1,000+ photos were submitted, and 98,483 votes were cast by adoring family, friends, and fans to raise a whopping $108,513 to help animals in need!

The 2025 Winners
These superstars have their pic featured on the label for Best Buds, a West Coast IPA (Important Pet Ale) from Migration Brewing!
1st Place Winner, Finn
Hometown: Seattle
This is in memory of Finn the Human the Dog, who left us unexpectedly on July 8th, 2025. He was adopted as a puppy from the Seattle Humane Society, and spent his full 11 years loving every creature he ever met. He enjoyed sipping beer from our glasses, getting toasty in the sun, and taking naps with his sisters. He is remembered for his gentleness, his “fancy” leg, and his bad breath.

2nd Place, Woodie
Hometown: Milwaukie
Meet Woodie, aka Ninja, The Sneezle and Arctic Lassie. He rescued us six months ago and we’re completely smitten. Seeing him become a more confident, trusting dog day by day is joyous. He’s smart, affectionate, an expert regulator of disrespectful squirrels and a Stage 4 clinger. Woodie is honored to help other shelter dogs and yes, he’s as sweet as he looks.
3rd Place, Stevie
Hometown: McMinnville
Stevie lost both of his eyes after being abused as a kitten…but he doesn’t let that slow him down! He is a very sweet boy who loves to cuddle anyone and everyone and visit retirement homes and the school for the blind. He is a fan favorite everywhere he goes! He is an Instagram celebrity and was just recently chosen to be a spokescat for KittySpout water fountains! He was also voted “Portland’s Best Snuggler” by Willamette Week and took 4th place in the America’s Favorite Pet Contest. He is just an all around cool dude!

The 2025 Runners-Up
4th Place, Nick
Hometown: Portland
Nick is a super hero blood donor at a local ER hospital. In his free time, he is very enthusiastic about playing with his two lab siblings. He loves treats, snuggling and long walks on the beach!

5th Place, Lulu
Hometown: La Center
Our beautiful Lulu is a six year old Irish Wolfhound. Her expressions are priceless. My caption on this photo of her is: ” Mom, I need an appointment with the hairdresser.”
6th Place, Ralph
Hometown: Portland
Ralph came to us with melanoma cancer and an expected 3-6 months to live. Ralph doesn’t know he has cancer and 14 months later he is still with us thanks to love and great healthcare provided by the Community Veterinary Hospital at the Oregon Humane Society. You rarely see him without a toy in his mouth and there isn’t a treat he wouldn’t accept gleefully.
