  Burns Rescue

Beginning on Thursday, March 19, the first group of dog rescued from Burns, Ore., will be offered for adoption. We expect about 30 dogs to be available for adoption on Thursday, and this page will soon be updated with their information.

The dogss rescued were part of a group of approximately 200 dogs owned by an individual who was charged with animal neglect and who agreed to forfeit these dogs to OHS to avoid further charges (details here).

The dogs are not house trained and are not used to living indoors. Potential adopters will receive a behavior and medical consultation prior to taking a dog home and should read the Medical Information Sheet (PDF) and Behavior Information Sheet (PDF) before visiting OHS.

Note: Not all the rescued dogs are available at this time; they will be appear below as they are ready for adoption.
