Personalized Training Consultations
Are you having behavior problems with your pet? Consider coming to a private training consultation at OHS. Whether you need one or multiple sessions, our trainers can offer tips and advice on how to use positive reinforcement to help your dog. You will learn practical dog-handling techniques and specific ideas to improve your pet’s behavior issues.
We can help you with basic training, leash reactivity, fearful behavior, preparing the dog for a baby, issues with dogs and kids living together, or problems with multi-dog households. We specialize in helping pets with special needs and pets from shelters. Most consultations take place at OHS. Please see our Pet Advice Page for more helpful information.

$80 for one consultation at OHS. Consultations are typically one hour.
$205 for a pack of three consultations at OHS. Consider purchasing a 3-pack for issues that may take longer to work through, like leash reactivity, or for problem behaviors that have been going on for a long time.
$120 for one consultation in your home. In-home training is only available for existing clients. Clients must meet with trainer at OHS prior to scheduling an in-home appointment and must work with their trainer to schedule (online scheduling is not available). For visits to homes outside of a five mile radius of OHS on NE Columbia Blvd, an additional $20 travel fee will be applied. Requests to visit homes more than ten miles from OHS may be declined. Please talk to your trainer if you are interested in scheduling an in-home appointment.
Proceeds from consultation fees go to support the animals and programs at OHS.
You’re welcome to bring two dogs to your one-on-one training session, but please bring a handler for each dog. When you schedule your appointment, please make a note that you plan to bring more than one dog with you.
Book an Appointment
Appointments at OHS are available for online booking seven days a week. Trainers are typically available mid-day through late afternoon. If you are planning to purchase a 3-Pack, we recommend meeting with your trainer once before scheduling your second and third session so you can work out your training plan together.
