Oregon Humane Society’s Training and Behavior Department offers a variety of donation-based workshops throughout the year. Please read individual descriptions for more details and to RSVP in advance. All workshops are for people only. Thank you for leaving your pets at home.

Living with Dogs and Toddlers – Saturday, October 13, 2018, 1:30 – 3 pm – RSVP Now!
This workshop will focus on helping you improve the relationship between your young children and your dog. You’ll learn how your child’s developmental stages may prove challenging for your dog and how to help everyone stay happy and safe. This workshop is perfect for families with dogs and kids ages 0 to 5 years, and for families with young children who are considering adopting a dog. Help for your Shy Dog – Sunday, October 28, 2018, 1 -2:30 pm – RSVP Now!
This workshop is for dog owners with introverted dogs. After learning more about fear-based behavior, students will learn tips and tricks to help their shy dogs feel and act more confident. Bring your questions with you but please leave your pets at home.

Help your Pet with TTouch – Sunday, November 4, 2018, 12:30 – 1:30 pm – RSVP Now!
Want to bond with your new pet, calm your fearful dog, or comfort your older cat? Try TTouch! During this presentation, you will learn how the Tellington TTouch Training Method can help your pet become more calm, confident and comfortable and how you can use TTouch to help resolve common behavior issues. Rainy Day Games: Enrichment for your Pet! – Sunday, November 11, 2018, 1 – 2:30 pm – RSVP Now!
Are you and Fido tired of wet winter walks? Add some enrichment to his life! During this presentation, we’ll talk about new ways to keep your dog or cat entertained—and out of trouble! Bring your questions with you but please leave your pets at home.

Helping Paws: How Your Dog can be a Therapy Dog – Sunday, December 2, 2018, 1- 2 pm – RSVP Now!
Is your dog a future therapy dog? Find out during this session! Learn about Animal-Assisted Therapy and how you and your dog can become a Pet Partners Team. Bring your questions but leave your pets at home.
