Island of Chi’waii
Come Sail Away to the Island of Chi'waii
This October, escape from the cold, damp weather of Portland to a Chihuahua- (and other small-breed dogs) friendly oasis.
Chihuahuas and other small-breed dogs are invited to join us for this tropical-themed event. Featuring: an indoor play area for dogs to socialize off-leash, pet-related vendors to meet, tropical cocktails, food, a photo booth and fun activities for people and their pups.
Contests start at 1:30 pm and include doggie limbo, best costume and island hop. All small breeds of dogs and all humans (5 years and up) are welcome to attend.
When: Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 12-3 pm
Where: Dog Days – 2215 SE Division Street, Portland, Oregon.
Tickets: $10 per person online in advance; includes one free drink ticket. Day of tickets are $15.
This event is a benefit for the Oregon Humane Society.

Event Rules for Dogs
- Female dogs in heat are not permitted.
- Event officials reserve the right to refuse entry to any dog whose behavior could be dangerous to others. Please use good judgment regarding the temperament of your pet so that this event will be safe and enjoyable for everyone.
- Participating dogs must be currently licensed with proof of Parvo, DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies vaccinations. You do not need to have proof with you; if an incident occurs, you must be able to produce proof within 24 hours.
Please help us ensure that both dogs and people participating in the event are able to participate safely.

I understand that participating in the Oregon Humane Society’s & Dog Days’ Island of Chi’waii event on October 21, 2017 includes an element of risk both to myself and the dog(s) I have brought to the event. I should not participate unless both the dog(s) and I are physically able. I agree to abide by any decision of an event official relative to my, and my dog’s, ability to participate in this event safely and further agree that event officials may authorize necessary emergency treatment for me or the dog. I further assume any and all other risks associated with participating in this event including, but not limited to illness, traveling to and from the event, falls, and contact with other participants or dogs. All such risks are understood and appreciated by me. I also affirm that the dog I will be participating with is currently licensed, with current Parvo, DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies vaccinations. I further agree to abide by all the rules of participation in this event. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators or anyone else who might claim on my behalf, covenant to sue, and waive, release and discharge the Oregon Humane Society, Dog Days, event officials, volunteers and any and all other sponsors, suppliers, agents, independent contractors, employees and any other of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or parties named in this waiver. I also understand and agree that OHS and Dog Days may subsequently use, for publicity or promotional purposes, my name, information or image, without liability or obligation to me.
