These Two Photos Show Why We’re Dashing

Bingo, before and after.
Saving pets like Bingo is one reason thousands of people support Doggie Dash.

Bingo was in terrible shape when he was found as stray, with a matted and dirty coat, runny eyes, and infested with fleas. He had been found in the farm country of central California, but no one came to his local shelter to adopt him.

After several weeks at that shelter, Bingo came to OHS through the Second Chance program, which is a lifeline for thousands of pets who have literally run out of time at other shelters. At OHS, this 20-pound Lhasa apso mix found his life taking a dramatic turn for the better. He got a health exam, vaccinations, neuter surgery and a complete makeover (see the amazing before and after pictures, above).

Bingo, now a happy, healthy dog with a wagging tail, was quickly adopted and now lives happily with his new family in the suburbs of Portland.

This is why Doggie Dash donations are so important. Second Chance and all other OHS programs are funded entirely by donations. OHS receives no tax dollars or government funding. That’s right: Bingo and the 6,327 more Second Chance pets helped by OHS last year were saved thanks entirely to donations.

Doggie Dash needs to raise $675,000 to help pets this this year. Can you help?
