It was all about glamour, glitter and fun when celebrity judges crowned Portland’s Next Top Dog Models, Rhett (large dog) and Tigger (small dog). This one-of-a-kind canine model showdown took place Thursday, June 17th at the Hotel Monaco. You can preview the finalists online and photos of the event will be posted soon.

 

Finalists were judged on style, personality, and runway demeanor as they strutted down the “dogwalk" past cheering crowds.

 

All proceeds from the contest and event went to support animals at OHS.

All finalists received gift baskets valued over $100, and the two Top Dog Model winners received prizes valued over $1,000! See below for full list of items in the grand prize package.

 

The fourth annual contest was sponsored by Lexi Dog Boutique & Social Club and the Hotel Monaco to benefit the Oregon Humane Society.

 

The panel of celebrity judges for the evening of the final competition included Sheryl Stewart, host for 105.1 fm The Buzz; Mitch Elliott, host for 105.1 fm The Buzz; Rebecca Haarlow, reporter for the Portland Trail Blazers; Byron Beck, Portland blogger; Helen Raptis, host of KATU's AM Northwest, and Betty Norrie, Chair of the OHS Board of Trustees. Andy Carson from KPTV will be the master of ceremonies.

 

 

 

Top Dog Prizes

 

Top Dog Model winners in each category received a prize gift basket valued over $1,000, including a luxury boutique package from LexiDog Boutique & Social Club, a glamour photo session and portfolio courtesy of Photography by Mimi, a custom pet portrait by Jennifer Rehnke, dog grooming sessions at LexiDog, dog training sessions at Pawsitive Performance, dog treats, doggie massage from Heal NW, a night stay at the Hotel Monaco, a year’s supply of dog food from Castor & Pollux, and VIP guest passes to several stylish OHS and LexiDog events throughout the year. Top Dog Models will be featured in advertisements for LexiDog throughout the year.
