First Annual Oregon Humane Society Members' Fair
July 9, 2012: All are welcome to attend the Annual Oregon Humane Society Members’ Fair on Saturday, July 14, from 11 am–2 pm. There will be games, prizes, treats, and behind-the-scenes tours!
Now is your chance to find out how, in just one year, OHS can find homes for 11,521 pets, investigate 1,032 neglect/abuse cases, and assist 1,948 pet owners with behavior concerns. OHS is the third-oldest humane society in the country—you’ll be amazed at the history!
This is a rare opportunity for the public to see behind locked doors and into OHS’s one-of-a-kind Animal Medical Learning Center to learn how the animals are cared for before they are available for adoption. You’ll see firsthand how OHS is able to care for animals until they go to their forever homes, with no time limit on their shelter stay.
Games and Prizes
You’ll also enjoy fun games for the whole family and win prizes. Cool off with a sno-cone while hearing how your local community animal shelter operates without tax dollars or government support.
There will also be special raffle prizes for new and renewing Members, and those participating in the monthly giving program.
