The newest iPhone may have thousands of clever applications that claim to do everything, but the computer geniuses who invented the iPhone so far lack the most important application of all: a cat.
“We found that when it comes to satisfying the greatest number of needs for the greatest number of people, there’s no application on the iPhone that comes close to a cat,” said Oregon Humane Society Executive Director Sharon Harmon. For example, said Harmon:
Need a frisky play partner? There’s a cat for that.
Need someone to take a nap with? There’s cat for that.
Need to hear soothing sounds that instantly relax you? There’s a cat for that.
Cat Applications More Affordable Than Ever Starting July 16
OHS is launching the “There’s a Cat for That” adoption campaign and YouTube video this Friday, with major discounts on dozens of user-friendly cats who are compatible with all operating systems. “Our shelter is overstocked with these great cat applications, and we want to get them in the hands of the public as soon as possible,” said Harmon.
Of course, there are some applications cats can’t (or won’t) do. There’s not yet a cat at OHS who, for example, will provide real-time stock quotes or movie theatre schedules. "Our cats are focused on truly important applications, like putting a smile on your face," said Harmon. “For that kind of application, there’s no substitute for cat.”
The OHS "There’s a Cat for That” adoption campaign runs Friday, July 16 through Sunday, July 18. The adoption fee for adultĀ cats (7 months and older) is $35. All kittensĀ have their adoption fees reduced by $35 (usually $100). When you adopt one adult cat, the second adult cat is free. Adopt a kitten and get 50% off the regular kitten adoption fee.
