Photo Contest

OHS is now accepting applications from pet lovers for our annual Fuzzy, Furry & Feathered Friends Photo Contest.
We’re looking for photos that show how cute your pet is and illustrate the loving bond between pets and people.

Past winners have included action shots at the dog park, carefully staged pet portraits, and heartwarming moments captured by chance.

Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: Best Dog Photo, Best Cat Photo, Best Other Animal (bird, rabbit, horse, etc.), Funniest Photo, Child with Pet, Best Youth Photographer, and Me & My Pet (a person with their pet). The judges will also present a Grand Prize and an Editor’s Choice Award, which can come from any category.

New Category: Doggie Dash Photos

We’ve added a new category for
2012: Best Doggie Dash picture! The best photo taken at the May 12, 2012 OHS Doggie Dash wins four free tickets to the 2013 Doggie Dash. The judges are looking for photos of pets and people enjoying themselves at Portland's most popular dog event.

This year’s contest is sponsored by Pro Photo Supply, Canon USA, and Beard’s Framing. Winners will be featured in the OHS Magazine and will be awarded prizes from the sponsors.

Prizes

The Grand Prize winner will receive a Canon Digital SLR Camera and a $250 gift card from Beard’s Framing.
