Join Lexi Dog Boutique & Social Club and the Oregon Humane Society for a social hour for both you and your dog.

 

Each month will feature fun activities, local wines, pet-related artists, and dogs from the Oregon Humane Society.

Spooky Show

5:30 - 8:00 pm at the LightBox Gallery, 1045 Marine Dr., Astoria

Celebrate the season at LightBox Gallery's costume party and see spooky themed photography. 10% of sales of artwork will be donated to help the animals at OHS.

Riding for the Rose City at MotoCorsa

Lovers of Italian motorcycles can help the animals at OHS when they visit the MotoCorsa motorcycle dealership in NW Portland. MotoCorsa will donate $100 for each bike purchased to one of five charities, including OHS. It's all part of the "Riding for the Rose City" campaign.

 

When you purchase your new Italian motorcycle, be sure to designate OHS as your charity of choice -- and don't overlook the special incentives MotoCorsa offers on many bikes. All purchasers will be invited to a special gala on behalf of OHS and the participating charities in December.

Portland Winterhawks: Hockey Night for OHS

7:00 pm, Memorial Coliseum
Enjoy a great hockey game and help the animals at OHS on Sat. Nov. 7th. When groups of ten or more people buy "Double Dip" OHS group tickets, OHS gets $4 for each ticket purchased. You will also see OHS animals available for adoption, and local celebrities "dashing for cash" on behalf of OHS. Details here.

Santa Paws Pet Portraits
11 am - 3 pm, Fred Meyer

The OHS Santa Paws Pet Portrait event happens November 14 at seven local Fred Meyer stores. Get keepsake pictures of your pet with Santa and help animals in need. It's just $20 for two copies of a professional 5x7 portrait and a CD with images to order more photos and holiday cards. Family members are welcome in the photo. The following Fred Meyer stores are participating: Beaverton, Gateway,Gresham Hollywood, Johnson Creek,

Oregon City, and Tualatin. Details here.

Shy Dog Workshop
4:30 - 6:00 pm at the Oregon Humane Society

(Manners Hall, AMLC)

Fearful, shy and timid dogs require special handling and training. This workshop focuses on training methonds that boost your dog's confidence and helps you learn to encourage your dog to be less afraid. Finicky Feline class is an opportunity to get expert tips and advice on cat behavior issues.  Having liter box issues?  Does your cat use your couch as a scratching post?  Or maybe you're thinking about or just got a new companion and want to make sure you're doing all the right things.  Whatever your behavior issue may be, drop in for Finicky Feline for some help.  This class is for humans only, please leave furry friends at home. The class is led by a certified pet trainer to help answer questions about feline care and behavior. No registration required; $30 donation suggested.
