Anvil and Formic Media Team up with Oregon Humane Society
Portland, OR – Anvil Media, Inc. announced today that it will be donating $2,500 to the Oregon Humane Society. This is in addition to the search engine and social media marketing expertise Formic Media is providing OHS.
"While Anvil regularly supports local charities with our time, via our Charity of Choice annual campaign, we felt we could do more," stated Kent Lewis, Anvil Media President. "We decided to add a cash contribution element and selected Oregon Humane as our inaugural recipient. Our sister agency, Formic Media, selected Oregon Humane as a Charity of Choice for 2011, providing search engine and social media marketing consulting services."
Since 2005, Anvil has selected a Charity of Choice to provide marketing services for a year. Formic Media followed suit soon after launching, in 2009. To maximize impact of the combined giving efforts, Anvil and Formic collaborated to provide services and cash donations to OHS.
"Getting our pets into great homes requires that we use the best available web and social media tools," said Barbara Baugnon, OHS Spokesperson. "Anvil Media and Formic Media helped OHS to improve our website and social media components to help us achieve our highest adoption numbers to date. Our pets are lucky to have them on their side!"
As the Pacific Northwest's largest humane society, OHS found homes for more than 11,000 pets in 2010 and has one of the highest save rates in the country. More than 1,400 individuals volunteer their time to help OHS, as do countless business and professionals such as Anvil on Formic Media.
