Earth Day Cleanup

On Saturday, April 23, the OHS Dog Path Crew welcomed the help of four volunteers from SOLVE for an Earth Day project on our dog-walking path. The team was small, but mighty!

Team leader Candace Bailey reports: “We really appreciated the four ladies who came out to help us. They dug right in and didn’t let the muggy day, stubborn butterfly bushes, or thorny blackberry vines deter them from working hard and accomplishing so much.” Our thanks to Chelsea, Nancy, Phyllis, and Veronica for helping us with the first stages of cleaning up the empty lot next to the dog-walking path. With their help, we’ve already made progress toward reducing the number of invasive plant species finding their way onto the dog path.

As always, the contributions of the Dog Path Crew (Sasha Moyle [OHS staff], volunteers Hal Needham, Bill Bailey, Jessica Haggin, Donna Ruark and Candace Bailey) were tremendous and helped make the day a success! See photos and video below that illustrate all the work done by the team.
