Do animals really have feelings? Animals do indeed have feelings, and those feelings are as profound as any we humans may have.

Here at the Oregon Humane Society, we do more than just provide the basic needs of food and shelter. Through your kindness and support, we are able to care for the whole animal. Our success in tending to the emotional needs of the animals is one of the reasons OHS adoption rates in 2007 reached all-time highs:

• 98 % of all dogs
• 91% of cats
• 96% of small animals
• We want to build upon this success in 2008, but we need your help.

At the Oregon Humane Society, we do more than just provide the basic needs of food and shelter. Through your kindness and support, we are able to care for the whole animal. That includes not only their physical health, but their emotional health, as well. While the new OHS Animal Medical and Learning Center’s veterinary staff tends to the medical needs of the animals, our dedicated behavioral specialists, staff, and volunteers work to enhance their emotional well-being.
