Collect Donations!

Help raise additional money for the animals at the Oregon Humane Society as you walk or run in the Doggie Dash by collecting donations from family and friends!

The money raised will help:

• OHS meet its goal of finding homes for 10,000 animals in 2008.

• Fund OHS animal cruelty officers who investigate over 800 neglect cases yearly.

• Help OHS promote humane education to almost 20,000 students in the Portland area.


How do I collect donations?

There are two ways:

• The best way is to register online for Doggie Dash. You'll get a personalized Web page and you'll be able to send Doggie Dash email to friends and family asking for their support. Your friends can make a donation in your name online!

• You can also download a pledge donation form. Collect donations in the form or cash or checks to the Oregon Humane Society. List all your donations on the form (print out more copies of the form if you need them), and turn in your donations and forms at the OHS registration tent the day of the dash.

One great way, for example, is to use the Doggie Dash Website tools to create your personal Web page. Other tools on this Website let you can send messages to friends and families directing them to your Web page, where making a donation is just a click away.

Win awards for most donations collected!

Although the real reward is the satisfaction of helping animals in need, we also offer these great prizes to the following individuals and teams:

Individual fund raisers get prizes at these levels:

$250: OHS Baseball Cap in black or tan color. High-quality hat with the OHS logo.

$500: OHS sweat shirt and Baseball Cap.

Top individual fund raiser above $1,000:

$600 gift certificate from the Sunriver Resort in sunny central Oregon and the #1 starting position for next year's Doggie Dash.

2nd Place individual fundraiser:

$400 gift certificate from the Elizabeth Street Inn in Newport Oregon.

3rd Place individual fundraiser:

Ttwo tickets to see Tom Jones May 29 at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall.

Team Captains get prizes at these levels:

$250: OHS Baseball Cap in black or tan color.

$500: OHS Baseball Cap plus OHS sweat shirt.

Top three fundraising teams:

Special hospitality tent at Doggie Dash for their team, including food and beverages and OHS concierge who will register team members and provide t-shirts;

All members of the top three team fundraising teams will be invited to a special party in their honor at OHS. Enjoy free food and drink, tours of the shelter, and accept personal thanks for your efforts from OHS staff.

#1 Fundraising team:

Members of the leading team will be "top dogs" who start at the front of the pack at next year's Doggie Dash.

The top team also gets 15 tickets to the Oregon International Air Show this summer.

Note: employees of OHS and sponsors are not eligible for awards. In the event that a person qualifies for a prize in two categories (top team captain and top individual fundraiser), only one prize will be awarded to that individual; this is because all donations to individuals who are part of a team are counted toward both the individual's total and the team's total.
