Weekly Challenge
May 3, 2013: Every Dasher who has raised at least $50 (enough to vaccinate 10 shelter dogs) will be entered into a drawing for dinner for two at the Portland Brewing Company, Portland’s oldest microbrewery. The prize drawing will take place at the end of the day on May 8.
Congrats to Kathy Lillis, who won the recent challenge to collect the greatest number of donations in one week. Congratulations also to Christina DeYoung, who won the drawing for a free private consultation with an OHS pet trainer.

Prizes are offered to everyone who raises the following amounts (prizes are cumulative, so you keep each prize as you raise more funds). The Top Three Doggie Dash Fundraisers and Top Three Doggie Dash Teams receive special prizes, which will be announced soon (see below).

Prizes for Top Three Individual Fundraisers

#1 Individual Fundraiser: The individual who collects the most donations for Doggie Dash will receive a trip for two to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Airfare donated by Alaska Airlines.
A generous donor is providing complimentary lodging (estimated value $1,050) for one week in a one bedroom condo with fantastic views of Land's End in Cabo San Lucas (OHS employees and members of the OHS Board of Trustees are not eligible to win).
#2 Individual Fundraiser: The person who gathers the second-highest total donations for the Dash will receive two tickets to A Midsummer's Night with The Monkees, a concert happening at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on August 18.
#3 Individual Fundraiser: The third top individual fundraiser will win a pair of tickets to the Heart and Jason Bonham Led Zeppelin Experience concert at Sleep Country Amphitheater on August 30.
Deadline for Determining Top Three Individual Fundraisers: We will announce the top three individual fundraisers at the Doggie Dash starting line on May 11. This requires that all online donations counting toward your winning total must be received by midnight Thursday, May 9. All cash/check donations counting toward your winning total must be received or hand delivered to OHS by 9 pm Thursday, May 9.
Donations will still be accepted after this, of course, but they will not be used for determining which individuals win a top three prize. Donations handed in the day of the Dash will count toward receiving the above thank-you prizes.
