Feb. 11 Event Honors Animal & Human Heroes

The public is invited to attend the 2010 OHS Diamond Collar Awards, a special fundraising event that honors human and animal heroes.


The awards, hosted  by KATU news anchor Carl Click and OHS Executive Director Sharon Harmon, recognize animals and humans who are heroes to our community.

 

The animals honored may have saved lives in peril, performed valuable services within the community, or triumphed over incredible odds to survive. Winners can also be humans who have had a positive impact on the lives of animals, exhibiting courage and compassion in the pursuit of animal welfare.

About the Event

 

The awards ceremony takes place Feb. 11 in Portland at the Governor Hotel and will feature inspiring stories of human and animal accomplishment, plus the chance to meet the heroes in person. Lunch will be served, and attendees will be invited to contribute during a special appeal to help pets in need.
