Honoring Animal & Human Heroes: Feb. 23, 2012

OHS Executive Director Sharon Harmon will host the event with KGW's Matt Zaffino.

The OHS Heroes Luncheon presenting the Diamond Collar Awards will be held Thursday, February 23, 2012.

 

The awards, hosted by KGW's Matt Zaffino, will honor heroic pets and people. Animal heroes can be those pets who have acted to save a human or animal life in peril, who have performed services within the community with undying loyalty, or who have overcome incredible odds to survive.

About the Event

 

The awards ceremony takes place Feb. 23 at the Governor Hotel in downtown Portland. The event will feature inspiring stories of human and animal accomplishment, plus the chance to meet the heroes in person. Lunch will be served, and attendees will be invited to contribute during a special appeal to help pets in need.
